Import a qbxml file into QB Pro 2011

I have a qbxml file from two companies that I need to import into QB Pro 2011 (trial version) for audit purposes. How do I do this? The initial setup screen didn't give me this option. Do I have to setup a company first (which doesn't make sense to me since that information is contained in the qbxml file).

Thanks!

So far as I know, you cannot directly import q qbxml file into QuickBooks. That format is meant to be used by the Software Developers Kit.

I think what you want are .IIF files. One can export lists (accounts, vendors and customers) into .IIF files and then import these into a new company for purposes of setting it up.

Thank you. IIF files should work and good luck with them. ... Thinkpads_User
