As portrayed in the picture, 7 does point to the red cable. So the red cable goes to the connector under 7 marking on the Power Jack.

I am replacing a power Jack for Sony VGN-FS742/w. &nbsp;I have done power jack replacement before, so this is a stupid mistake. &nbsp;When i removed the old one, I forgot to note down which color cable was connected where. &nbsp;<br />

Is there anyone that knows which color cable (Black/Red) goes where? Bottom of the Jack has a number 7 above it, so Im wondering if this points to the red cable. &nbsp;<br />
