One developper in our department uses VirtualBox to have several Windows on his machine.
He has installed ClearCase on it
However, ClearCase does not really work on that machine
When I use for example the command "cleartool lsvob", the answer is :
albd_rgy_get_entry call failed: RPC: Timed out
cleartool: Error: Trouble contacting registry on host "zavux300": timed out trying to communicate with ClearCase remote server.
The registry server is indeed zavux300 (it is ALSO the license server and the VOB server)
We can "see" that server (ping works) and the command clearlicense works
So ?

What kind of networking is being used on the guest?  Is it bridged directly to the hosts network, or is it NATed, or something custom?  You might try bridged mode, in NAT mode the connection is going to appear to come from the host machine instead of the guest, so any communication back to the guest might not make it back.
