Caroot password- Arcserve 9

Over the weekend I joined our 2000 Server, which is currently only serving as our financial accounting software server, to our existing 2003 Domain. I created a new account with domain admin rights on the 2000 server under local users. The only issue remaining is that Arcserve 9 is asking for the caroot password. If I log off and back on as the local user that it previously was everything works, but I need to get this server on the 2003 domain. Thanks

When you install arcserve, you have to specify if it uses its own internal accounts or a windows account. So if you were using caroot, hence the internal account before, it should not have changed.

I don't know if there is a definitive answer, but check the services for arcserve to see what account they are using.

My apologies as I left out a few key ingredients: I am trying to get Arcserve 9 on the 2000 box to run as it did before I joined it to the domain. Now that I am a2003 domain admin user on the 2000 box it will not work.

When you enter the caroot password, do you get an error, or it just doesn't read the resources?
