I have had a firewall installed on my company (SSG 140) and asked to be configured so that it stops spam &amp;&nbsp;antivirus being sent /received through my email server <br />
Mdaemon.<br />
<br />
What is the best way to check that this is working ? <br />
I am asking because I am receiving complaints from my ISP that my email server is sending too many spams emails...even after the configuration.<br />

Now I have tried to send a test eicar file..and it blocked it from getting in my internal mail server.<br />
Now I need to do the test from In to OUT. can u point me to a way to do this ?<br />
how can I create a spam mail on purpose and send it and make sure that it got stopped ?<br />

Firewall Issue

Hardware-based firewalls provide more sophisticated protection for inbound and outbound traffic than the simple Windows software firewall or the basic NAT firewalls found in routers. Email Servers

Most email software operates under one of these (and many products support more than one).  The correct protocol must be selected, and correctly configured, if you want your email account to work.
