Hi all,

I am having trouble using Cisco SDM (on Cisco2821)...

When under SDM > Configure..
When I select 'Additional Tasks', nothing happens

I cannot seem to 'edit' anything.
When I select a firewall rule and click 'edit'....nothing happens
When I select a NAT rule and click 'edit' ...nothing happens

When I am at SDM > Monitor
All sections work except nothing happens when I click on Logging as well as Traffic Status

I have downgraded Java a few times from the latest to 6u23 and 6u19.
I even installed SDM on a different PC with the same results.

Any ideas?

SDM is no longer current.  You need an even older version of Java.

Try, for example, this one:

I tried several versions of Java on two PC's....same results
(currently on 1.6.0_16)

I did upgrade from c2800nm-ipbase-mz.124-15.T9 to c2800nm-advsecurityk9-mz.124-11.T today though

You're not using an old enough version of Java, I think.   Keep going back in time.

ALTERNATIVELY, instead of SDM, use Cisco's replacement for SDM, Cisco Configuration Professional (free download from Cisco here): http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9422/index.html

Thanks for the info on the CCP - Ill check it out!

After some googling earlier....it is confirmed I had to rollback to 6u11
