Hi,
Yesterday I have requested for the process of connecting asp.net to sharepoint. I got a solution for it yesterday. Thanks a lot. I kindly request you to send me the step by step to follow for creating ticket in ASP.NET and passing the login and name to sharepoint . To be more detail about my requirement I am mentioning below

I need to connec to Sharepoint from ASP>NET .

When i click a button in asp.net . the share point site should open.

My authentication ia FORMS authenticartion in Asp.Net.
But in SharePoint it is Windows Authentication .

So I should not get the LOGIN -Message Box when i Connec to Sharepoint from Asp.Net. the SAme userID and Password should be taken for the WSS also.
Please guide me how to do this.

The solution I got yesterday was as below:

if you want to connect to the sharepoint site from asp.net, then you can create a authentication ticket yourself prior to opening the site.

you cal also implement the single sign on functionality and work with this. Typically the way is to create a one way authentication ticket and take the user to an intermediate page. from there you can use the credentials of the user tio know the validity of the user. if it is a valid user you can create an authentication ticket and then open the site using the authentication ticket.
