Why does my thumbnail load very slowly?

the thumbnails load very slowly especially on ie
it is a photo gallery i built using jquery
how can i make them load faster??

This is not thumbnail but original pic : Images/kashmir3.jpg

You need to resize each of your pics to create true thumbnail.
Curently you just resize it, it visualy look like thumbnail
