I keep getting an error when trying to reinstall IIS and WSUS after I had them installed previously then uninstalled them.  Any ideas?  Server 2008 Standard SP2

Nope, didn't work.  Doesn't seem like that relates to my issue either.  I already have IIS uninstalled and can't reinstall it now.

That one is for Server 2008 R2.  I have Server 2008 Standard SP2.  Not R2.

In those directions, it says the line has been changed in "R2".

The issue ocurs because within the ServerManagerCmdInputIIS.xml file there is a feature listed for installation called "NET-XPS-Viewer", this feature name has now changed to "XPS-Viewer" on Windows Server 2008 R2, and hence it fails to find the feature and installation aborts.

Have you tried uninstalling "Windows Process Activation Service" ?
