Convert Outlook to Ourlook Express

  The only real way to know you are going to get what your looking for is to try it and see.  So I would suggest you try it a few times and mess with the options to see if you can get what your looking for?

Here are the steps to take!

1.  Go to the main window of Outlook and click on the "File" menu. Select "Import And Export." Select "Export To A File" and click on "Next."

2.  Select "Comma Separated Values (DOS)," and then click on "Next." Select the folder from which you want to export your Outlook .pst files, and then click on "Next."

3.  Type the name for the file you will be exporting into the "Save Exported File As" text box. Click "Next" and then "Finish." Take note of the location of this exported file so you can find it when importing it into Outlook Express.

4.  Open Outlook Express and click on "File" and then "Import." Select "Other Address Book."

5.  Select "Text File (Comma Separated Values)," and click on "Next." Now find the .csv file you exported from Outlook in Step 3. Click "Next."

6.  Map the text fields in the imported .csv file to the corresponding address book fields by clicking on the check boxes.

7.  Click on the box next to the "Import This Field," click "OK," and finally "Finish." Your Outlook to Outlook Express conversion is complete

I saw that when I googled, too.

However, I thought I was clear.  I'm not looking to convert the addresbook.  I am looking to convert the messages, with all the information and organization mentioned.

"Import, Message" in OE does not have an option for delimited text files of any type.  

I can import from the default pst file, btu I have data stread across more than one PST, across many different email accounts.  I could individually import each folder and subfolder adn them move to a new palc ein OE, but I am looking for a tool to automate the process.  At the least be able to specify an import filder that is not in the default PST file.  Ideally preserve the account, or allow one to be set in bulk if importing in sections.

These steps by the way will do the whole mail file, as long as you select the proper export options.  Not just the address book! Other than this, I don't know of any free tool to do all of what you are looking for?
I have worked with OE and Outlook 2000-2007 (Clients)  and so I am pretty verse with what you can do without 3rd party intervention(s).  There are great Third party tools that might do all you are asking??  Maybe????
But you are asking an awful lot here!  Most people don't go from Outlook (Full) to OE why are you wanting to do this by the way? If you don't mind me asking?
