Inserting pages and renumbering

Using Adobe Standard 8. After inserting pages into an existing document that has page numbering is there a way to update the page numbering without having to start over? Is there step by step instructions on how to do this? Thank you!

I am assuming the page numbers are part of the footer, in which case it should automatically update, or try Document > Header & Footer > Update and make sure no page range is set. (Page Range options link should appear when editing header/footer) If it is not part of the footer, then you may have to re-edit the entire document, or turn off page numbering in the external application.
