Group Inbox -- Track who sent mail

Hi Experts,

I have a Group Inbox that I’m going to give a pooled set of resources access to.

Is there a way in Outlook to explicitly track who is sending the email from the group inbox?

For example, John Doe logs into the Group Inbox,  He notices that an application form has come in that needs to be processed.  However there is some information missing in the request that came in, so he replies to the applicant asking for the missing info.  In the email that John sends to the applicant, would it be possible to automatically add a signature like “John Doe using”?

Hi Rav,

I think what would suit your scenario would be rather than giving the users in question "Send-As" permissions from the MS Exchange side, if you log on as the shared ID and then delegate permissions to the mailbox within Outlook.

This should allow the "Sent by John Doe on behalf of..." message you're looking for.

Hope this helps!

Hi morganmce,

Thanks for the feedback.  I was hoping for a different solution but I appreciate the recommendation.
