Hi Guys,

I have a project in my hand that I need to Convert Custom log (which doesn't even have log level) to a Windows Event Log(SYSTEM)

so I can use the event log to monitor alerts for my monitoring system.

I feel this can be done by scripting and running while the log is writing in real time.

the custom log is actually very limited to change around since it doesn't have the source.

and the new log is created every 24hours. this is the tricky part that the log name is genereated with new time and date stamp.

Why not just write to the event log directly? Depending on what kind of C and compiler you are using, it could be really easy.
Using C/C++ with VS: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/mctutorial.aspx
Using Visual C++/C#: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.diagnostics.eventlog.aspx

You could just parse the created log files and write the events to the event log.

Or you could just change the formatting to match
