I'm trying to learn what's involved to format db calendar (xml?) output (or install additional scripts?)
to implement a feature similar to the  RSS Subscribe (near top left) on this link:
http://classical-scene.com/calendar/

might you know what's involved to achieve formatting db output in a form (or with a script) that yields RSS feed accessibility?

(PHP5)

thanks

If you do a "view source" on that page you will see that it is a Wordpress site, so you might want to contact the publishers and see if they can tell you the plug-ins they used.

RSS is a narrowly specialized subset of XML.  Docs available here: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/rss/rss.html

To publish an RSS feed you write the XML file and expose a URL that points to the RSS XML file.  To update the RSS feed, you re-create the file.  RSS reader programs will recognize the new RSS XML file from a change in the pubDate tag, and they will alert the client to the presence of a new RSS file.
