2003 Exchange server
client with admin rights on her computer suddenly unable to move messages from Exchange inbox to 2010 PST.

She can move/delete mail on the exchange server
She can move/create folders/ make copies on the PST file (it does not appear corrupt)

Any attempts to move from Exchange to the PST results in a message that she can't.

Other people with the same setup as her have no issues.  She didn't notice issues until last week.  There have been no group policy or server changes other than patches in the past year and a half. There is no AV or outlook plugin to contend with.

interesting, have you tried creating a new PST and moving data in to that?

demazter: yup, that fixed it.  There was nothing wrong with the old PST file except that it evidently had been created in the Outlook 2000 format back in late 2009.  it said it only had 1.4 gigs of data in it, nope, filesize was just about 2 gigs.  Made one of the new (2003-) style PSTs and it's working fine.

I do not know how that happened... but making a new one was the solution.  Thanks!
