Exchange 2003 server communicate to another Exchange 2003 server on a different domain

Greetings,

What are the steps for having Exchange 2003 server communicate to another Exchange 2003 server on a different domain?  Thank you.

I can can modify the recipient policies and also create a trust between the two domains.

Hi,

You can have only one exchange organization per forest. You will have default trust between domain of same forest. In domain where you going to place exchange server 2003 you need to run setup /domainprep. Install exchange exchange will be able to communicate with other exchange server as long as both are in same administrative group.

if you place server in different ADG then you need to create routing group connector both ways .

As far as outgoing emails are concerned that will be based on default smtp virtual server and bridgehead server being in use.

Had rebuilt the Exchange 2003 server and then was able to connect it to the other Exchange 2003.
