I have a problem with MS Terminal Server 2008 and users being able to view an MHTML file.

The MHTML file has been generated from a PowerPoint presentation (to the best of my knowledge).

The issue is that on the Terminal Server standard users are unable to open the document. Me (as administrator) can open the document with no problems.

Standard users can view this on their normal desktops with no problems.

The link in the title bar looks like this

mhtml:http://portal/Documents/HSE System - Portal.mht!HSESystem-Portal_files/frame.htm

For normal users it looks like it starts to work and then just comes up with page not found.

So, are you saying that on the server itself, logged in as Administrator you are able to view the mhtml, but same server, regular user, no such viewing luxury?

I'm wondering if the version of PPT you're running was installed for all users, or only Admin?

Is this a remote user or is the standard user sitting right at the server?

We have since replaced this MHTML file as it appears to have been the cause of the issue.

Closed out as it was a problem with the file and we have replaced it with another system
