How can I get the processes tree running in cygwin?

ps -ejH
or
ps axjf

I'm using cygwin, and I'm taking error message for -j option...any idea?

OK, I see,

Cygwin does not have the "-j" option. Unfortunately it doesn't have the "-H" option either.

I found these portable scripts for you (you'll need both of them):
http://www.serice.net/pstree/

They will work under Cygwin if (and only if) there is awk!
