I am trying to download Oracle 11G Release1 (for Windows 2008) from the following URL

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html

But the download stops at 1.85MB everytime I start it. Is there another place from where I can download this software.

I don't think there are mirrors available. However, two pointers for troubleshooting:

- Don't use a download manager. Oracle does not like them, there are long threads on the OTN forums about how to make them work. It's easier to forget about them IMHO
- Remember that it's not enough to click on the licence acceptance radio button, when you click the link you will be taken to the Oracle login page, and only after you provide valid credentials will the download start

I am not using any download manager. It is the default windows download.

Also, I have accepted the license and then entered my credentials. The download starts but get stuck at some 1.85 MB and does not proceeed further. Then after waiting for a while I get the timeout message.

Then I really don't have a clue... I would try some other browsers like Firefox, Iron, Chrome, Opera etc., for I don't think Oracle's main concern is making their site IE friendly. Also, have you tried it from some other network? Like, at home? I tried downloading and it went far past 1.85 MB with Iron
