I keep getting this error after i publish a form to an email person, and they open the email, they receive this error:
Infopath cannot open the following file: c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files\content.mso\filename.tmp\form28.xml. the form contains schema validation errors.

Any idea on what this is and whats causing it.

The XML does not match the template.  WHen the file opens and the first step is to validate the data schema, an error occurs. You have deleted some fields from the datasource of the template that exist in the XML form from before.  So when it opens the file it has value that it doe snot know what to do with. Hopefully you have a backup of the template or can remember where they were and replace them exactly.

In these situations just remove the fields from you views but leave them in your data source schema to allow older forms to be compatible after changing the form.

Thank you. I was removing the fields from the data source. And no unfortunately i didn't keep the original. I learn from this mistake, but it seems to be ok now. Will keep watching it and check again. Is there another way to do this? Maybe publish as a new form, delete the old form, and then open the new form and republish to the old form name to clear the schema??
