Issue with CSS margins in IE 8

Can someone tell me why in this link:
http://www.pikefin.com/phptest/charts/allassets/linechart.php?a=660

A margin shows up in firefox 3.6.x but there is no margin in IE 8?

You need a DocType. Try putting this as your very first line (above your html tag).
