High availabiloty strategy for SharePoint 2007 farm
Hello experts,
I have MOS2007 farm currently hosted in SQL 2005 on W2K3, using SQL active/passive cluster failover a HA strategy. We are planning to migrate the farm to SQL 2008 on W2K8 R2 OS to a SQL 2008 Blade server which is a Principal server to a another application DB, and corresponding mirror server is VM.
Is DB mirroring a viable situation to implement for MOS 2007?
Please advise.
Thanks and Regards

I am planning to migrate MOS 2007 farm currently hosted in sql 2005 to SQL 2008 server (already serving as a principal server to an application DB), to take advantage of licensing benefits.
Now if I do this, is DB mirroring an viable option as a HA strategy for MOS 2007 farm?

How many servers are/will be in your farm?
DB Mirroring is viable, althogh not all databases can be mirrored. If you are migrating into another cluster, why would you mirror?
