Gui design Coding Standards in IEEE CMM etc

I am a QA Lead i need to educate the development Team to
have a good GUI design dialog boxes the GUI is not a
web based but can be developed in any PL like
Java,Qt,Gtk,Fltk,Xlib ,Motif etc.

I need any such document of standards from IEEE CMM or any
 certified organization
