SQL Server 2008 Reporting services

Hello, I have two questions, first I would like to know if I can use a reportserver that is install on a sql server 2008 to take out reports from a sql server 2008R2.  What I mean is the database and applications are on a sql server 2008R2 but the reportserver will be on another sql server 2008.
Question number 2 is: after I use the reporting services configuration manager to configure the reportserver, is there anything else that I have to do or install to get it to take reports.

Ad1) Yes, you can.
Ad2) You need to create reports or download sample reports from codeplex website. When you need granular permissions you need to define security: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156014%28v=SQL.100%29.aspx
