On board OCR for wireless phones?

I am thinking about writing something for the iPhone, Android, Winidows Mobile, or some other platform. But am interested in finding opticasl character recognition support.

Do any of these programs have that? Or would that require the installation of another applet? If so, where can I find an OCR applet? And are there any which are free?

Thanks,

I'd use online ocr, some of them are free. Check it out:
