Hi,
Currently I have a problem installing a second instance on the SQL 2005 server. There is an error that says:
Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only Manage SQL 2005 servers with SQL Server Configuration Manager. Invalid Class [0x80041010]

Do I need to disable the WMI Performance Adapter? It appears that the problem begun snce we enabled this service.

Thanks for your help

Have you tried?:

start->run->cmd

mofcomp "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof"

Hi thanks for your help. I'm testing the command in a production environment, so I have to wait for an authorization. I'll let you know about the results.

If this is 64 bit installation you ned to use program files (x86)
mofcomp "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof"
