We have 2 Ready NAS NV+ boxes that are used for additional storage. I have now purchased a third so that I can selectivly backup parts of the others.
I have setup the backup NAS as an FTP server with a share call Archives_backup. Tested the FTP server with internet explorer & works fine
setup the backup job on the source NAS server to use FTP with the same credentials & point it at the FTP server on the new NAS it doesnt work, get an error connecting to FTPSERVER.

When you define the backup job, can you put in the IP address of the remote host instead of the name pppoffsite?  I would guess that it can't resolve that name because it isn't a valid name in DNS.
