Hi,

You mean that the column instead of just show the data, you want that use a control?

what control you want to use? the datagrid allow the following column type

Button
Checkbox
Combobox
Image
Link
Text (this is the default)

Ok, let me get this straight, you want to use a datagridcolumn like you use a form control (Textbox, Label, etc) so you can select it from the toolbar and drop it in a form? is that what you want?

If it so, you can create a usercontrol and add a datagridview with 1 column, but what do you want to accomplish?

Hi,
I ma using a true dbgrid component1 .
Need to set a tooltip on the columnheader

Currform.ttGeneric.SetToolTip(CEHctrl.Ctrl, CEHctrl.Ctrl.Tag)

Now the  problem is parameter datacolumn of grid cannot be acontrol...CEHctrl.Ctrl

Ok the other way will be with a ToolTip control, but if you said that ttGeneric is a Generic Form what is
Currform? and what does the SelToopTip method on your generic form?
