Click the add on the right side and not the save on the bottom.

Thomas, i do so, and it takes me to another page where i enter the element's properties. When i hit submit, it displays the message that the component has been added, but there is nothing added.

Here is what i het as error messages when i get into the dblog:

1.
Unknown column 'auto_save' in 'field list' query: INSERT INTO webform (nid, confirmation, confirmation_format, redirect_url, status, block, teaser, allow_draft, auto_save, submit_notice, submit_text, submit_limit, submit_interval) VALUES (5344, '', 3, '<confirmation>', 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, '', -1, -1) in /srv/www/htdocs/includes/common.inc on line 3538.

2.
Duplicate entry '5344-1' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO webform_roles (nid, rid) VALUES (5344, 1) in /srv/www/htdocs/sites/default/modules/webform/webform.module on line 950.

I hope this can help solve my problem...

My upgrade didn't go well, I re-installed drupal 6, and updated the database. Now everything is fine
