Copying pictures from Macbook to flash drive.  Macbook is booted using linux Mint CD

Using Linux mint cd i booted my Macbook Pro.  I accessed the data for example pictures. I want to copy the pictures to my flash drive.  I formatted the flash drive to fat32 using PC.  When copy and paste pictures onto the flash drive it says error while copying "data". .  Can any one help-thanks

Basically Copy and paste in a directory on flash drive.  Flash drive needs to be formatted fat32.
