ACT! 2009 - Created new user but cannot log on

I went to the server yesterday, created a new user.  Created a remote database.  Brought it to the remote office, ran it, created database fine.

I cannot log in with the new user.  I get "Could not authenticate user.  Verify the user name and password..."

I logged in with an admin account.  The new user is there with an "Active-pending logon" status.

I reset the password on that account.  Still no go.

Anyone know what is going on here?

Thanks - it turned out to be that I forgot to set the user as a remote user.

Are you sure they are connecting to the same database?

Simple solution - forgot to set the user as a remote user.
