Outlook 2010 Folder View not in alphabetical order
Hi
In Outlook 2007, just by renaming folders they would change their position in the Folder View as it always displayed folders alphabeticaly. Renaming Folders in Outlook 2010 makes no difference to their location. For example, if I rename Sent Items to All Sent Items it should be at the top of the folder list. This worked in 2007 but not in 2010. Is there a way to fix this. Using MFCMapi and can't locate anything relating to how Folder View is now organised by default in 2010.

Hi BlueDevilFan,
Thanks for your response.
I have tried this and it doesn't resolve the issue. Outlook 2007 allowed you to manipulate folder positions just by renaming the folders. Outlook 2010 puts renamed folders towards the bottom of the folder tree! :-(
None of the old command lines have any effect either.
Maybe just have to wait for SP1.
Cheers

Hi BlueDevilFan,
Thanks for the link. At least it explains why the folder tree order has changed in 2010. Puts me out of my misery. :-)
I have more of my client's wanting to update to Outlook 2010 but once I point out this issue they stick with 2007. I deal with a lot of Outlook power users!
Once again, thanks for your assistance.

You're welcome, Jim.
Close and restart Outlook. It's my understanding that Outlook sorts the folders into sequence each time it launches.
