problems re installing Exchange 2010 in recovery mode

I destroyed my exchange2010  server so I reinstalled windows and when trying to reinstall exchange it complains that I have to use the recovery mode:

setup.com /m:RecoverServer

but when I do that I get this error:

exchange server 2010 build 14.1.218.15 or later must be used to preform a recovery of this server.

I believe this is exchange 2010 sp1 which would make sense because I had sp1 installed. But my CD doesn't have sp1 built in.

what should I do?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have solved this problem.

I just needed to download the install program from microsoft that already has sp1 in it. its name was  Exchange2010-SP1-x64.exe. then execute it to extract the contents to a folder, cd to the dir and execute the recovery install again:

 setup.com /m:RecoverServer

because Active directory already knew about the server, all my settings were preserved. This is a way better option then the "delete everything to do with exchange in AD" plan some people suggest.

I solved the problem before I got any replies, so I thought I would post the solution instead of just deleteing it. someone somewhere will have this problem too one day and I didn't find much about it on the web.
