ReportViewer DocumentMap

Why is the documentmap button not showing up on the reportviewer control? I already set ShowDocumentMapButton to true.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The DocumentMap actually works. I can open/close it by right clicking on the report and select document map. But the button does not appear on the toolbar.

try to put this line when you refresh your report
rptviewerReports.RefreshReport()
rptviewerReports.ShowDocumentMapButton = True

are you in .NET framework 4.0?

if yes, you need to check this link (read "Obsolete properties" section")

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee960138.aspx

"The following properties are obsolete because the prompt area and document map are no longer controlled by buttons on the toolbar: ShowPromptAreaButton and ShowDocumentMapButton. The following Web server control properties are obsolete because the ReportViewer control no longer uses pressed buttons: ToolBarItemPressedBorderStyle, ToolBarItemPressedBorderColor, ToolBarItemPressedBorderWidth, and ToolBarItemPressedHoverBackColor.
