openx php application unable to detect safe mode correct status

hi
i am trying to install openx http://www.openx.org/ on one of my centos box the safe mode is off however when application tries to install it is generating error which is kind of unusual i am not sure why this application unable to detect the php safe mode option

Let me explain again I have a centos 5 box with php configured where I have drupal website which also require me to turn off php safe mode I have done also in the httpdocs foldar I have .htaccess file containing safe mode off settings also within main directory I have the php.ini file also cotain safe mode off.

The drupal picks up correct status of php safe mode however the openx application resides in the child directory it fails to pickup the correct status

This sounds like a programming bug, not a feature-related setting or something like that.  Have you contacted openx support or raised the issue in their forums?

I have tried on window using xampps it worked fine I actually put the php info on the same page of installation page and I see safe mode its really confusing me

Are you saying that when you run this script, in the PHP Core it says safe_mode On On or safe_mode On Off?

i thought internal directory is not able to pickup php safe mode so what i did basically added the codes on the installation page of openx installation wizard when i ran the page i see php safe mode off

i have managed to install on windows 2008 r2 server now the issue is i am catching some errors in the record adding process. i dont know whether its an installation issue or i am missing a plugin i am using XAMPP on windows.
