error message "Cannot Empty Clipboard"

I have started to get the error message "Cannot Empty Clipboard" when dragging and dropping cell data. The solution in this site (Win 97 patch) doesn't work for me. I am using Windows XP latest update and Excel 2003. What's the solution?

Hello DCGM1,

This can be a very common problem, can you try to run this command and then try to copy once more?

Go to Start > Run and type:
taskkill /F /IM rdpclip.exe
