Can a form in an Access MDB call other separate Access MDB's (with their own startup forms)

I do not know if this can be done. I am using Access 2003

I have two separate MDB's that I would like to call from a "Main" mdb. Like a main menu.

The reason (instead of combining tables from the two separate MDB's) I would have a MDB with a Main menu, that would have two buttons that would open the either one of the separate MDB's.

Can this be done ? With Shell ?

I would like the called programs quit once done and go back to the main program.

Can you give me an example of how to achieve this task ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes ity is possible to do what you want. I prefer to use the ShellExec API to open the other database.
