Cannot Install Windows 2008 R2 on Dell PE 2850

Hi Guys,

I have been working on installing Windows 2008 R2 on Dell PE 2850 for 2 days now and I am stuck at the same point since like foreever.
I am at the point where it asks for the drivers while collecting the information, I belive this is the PERC 4/DC drivers but even after I downloaded them from the Dell Support Website I cant seem to install them.
I have read through almost all the forums and people did face this issue for some it worked when they installed the drivers but for me it didnt.

I read this post and it solved it for most the people
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserver2008appcompatabilityandcertification/thread/c64513e1-64d5-498d-bcc5-2ad5653eaff6/

I downloaded the driver mentioned in the article but to no avail, it does recognize the Perc 4/dc driver but doesnt load it?!

I have also tried building this trough Dell Open Manger 6.3 CD but after I insert the W2K8 R2 disk inside it says "Autorun.dll is missing or corrupt"

I know its the Perc 4/DC driver thing but whatever I download doesnt work.....

Can you guys help me out here?

Have you tried to install Windows 2008 with Dell Windows OS install support pack ?

I have at least a dozen 2850's running 2008R2 ... it is possible (and fairly easy) and I can help you get it installed, but most of us aren't up at 2AM :)
