Citrix Online Plug-in Error

Multiple Users facing issue through citrix. When they try to launch applicaiton getting "Online Plugin Error" randomly. After restarting IMA/Streaming services & removing citrix profiles issue resolved.

- Users login through PNA.
- All users using roaming profile
- All applicaiton installed in D drive & user pc contain only Cdrive.

Application published through by installing & streaming. Please help me to resolve htis issue permanently.

As you say this issue occurs randomly it can be a problem with one of the Citrix servers. Did you make a note of the application and the server name where it opened? If yes, then you can check the event logs of that server to see if IMA crash or anything has caused the problem.

However, if this happens for a user with all the application then we can say it's a profile issue.

*What version of Online Plugin you are running, have you tried to install the latest version?

*Also have you tried to recreate the Local Host Cache on each server in the farm? http://hqextsrvsft01.citrix.com/article/CTX759510

*If you have more than one server in the farm, Try to publish an application such as Notepad from each server to the user and see which server produce the error. if it's happening from all servers it could be an issue with user Profile, I would recommend enabling "Delete catched profile policy at logoff" GPO or use Citrix Profile Manager to help protecting the profiles from getting corrupted.

Please follow this doc to set it up: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=274152

You can put all Citrix Servers under one OU and apply the policy or apply it on each Citrix server individually.

Make sure you have Roaming Profiles set and works correctly http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324749 , Before you apply this policy as it's going to delete the temporary profiles from the Citrix Server and if you don't have Roaming the users will lose their settings.

Also make sure you have uphclean installed  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=1b286e6d-8912-4e18-b570-42470e2f3582&displaylang=en  If you are on Win2k3

From experience windows does not hand roaming so well for the most part, this is why people use Citrix Profile Manager to handle users profiles. and it does a great job with it.
