I am getting a -1056749164 error when I try to do a mail restore from an RSG

Hi,

I get the following error when I try to restore a mailbox from an RSG :

Restore-Mailbox : Error was found for Myname, mylastname (myemailacct@mydomain.com) because : Error occured in the step : moving messages. Failed to copy messages to the destination mailbox store with error: An unknown error has occured., error code -1056749164

i have CCR Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup 8 and SCDPM 2007 SP1.

The problem occur only in one mailbox.

-I am an exchange admin and had rights to all the mailboxes concerned
-i have try to restore to another mailbox=same error
-I have install a demo version of Lucid8 digiscope and i have look the problematic mailbox, it contain many folders.

i have already full maibox permission and not have problem with other mailbox
did you tried it from gui section from exchange tools. Try to restore from GUI.
I have try frist from GUI and from powershell, same error!
repair the db.
repair the db lol? i have no preoblem with my RSG databse, i already test 3 different backup RSG, i have pass isinteg and 0 error!

It sound strange to you. But I might have repair the DB and tried again.
the problematic mailbox have over 50 folder, i suspect that is the problem....
The folder and excessive messages issue was resolved in Rollup 4. It is most likely that the RSG database has gotten corrupted, at least for the mailbox in question. One suggestion is to completely remove the RSG and recreate it and then restore to it again.

Another option is to run the restore from Powershell with the -baditemlimit set to a high enough number. The range is between 0 to 2,147,483,647. It is likely that a mailbox with that many folders has gotten some corrupted items in it. I would set the baditemlimit to 100 and see if it runs this time.

I have use 4 Different RSG with same problem.

I have test with  the baditemlimit 1000 with same problem.

The mailbox was deleted and administrator have recreate it, sow the new mailbox is empty.

I have open the mailbox in RSG with digiscope tools from LUCID8 and it contain many folder.

I am in Exchange 2007 SP1 rollup 8.

can you give me a way to control my rsg database is OK with not error?

i have lunsh this command:
isinteg -S exchangeserver -fix -test alltests

and the result is 0 error!

1. No, sorry only support is in English in US

3. If your account is the Administrator account, a member of the root Domain Administrators, a member of the Enterprise Administrators groups, or a member of the Exchange Organization Administrators role, you are explicitly denied access to all mailboxes that are not your mailbox.  I know this may seem odd since if you have full administrative rights over the Exchange system however this is done in order to allow certain accounts the rights required to execute all Exchange 2007 administrative tasks without having to grant an administrator or member of an Administrators group the rights to read other people's mail.  More on rights here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310792(EXCHG.80).aspx

4. Ok so its not just happening in one mailbox, its happening in multiple mailbox restore instances?

4-No the problem occur only with 1 mailbox, but i have try to restore this mailbox to other mailbox with the same problem.

Yes and I received notification that it was sent to your gmail account.  Perhaps check Spam filter?
