MACBook Pro Exchange 2003

The owner of my company just purchased a MACBook Pro and asked me to setup mail on his new device.  I setup the mail account and everything works fine here in the office, but as soon as I get an outside connection everything stops working.  Any ideas on how I can fix this?

What are you using for Mail? Your best bet is Entourage. Here are setup instructions:

Yes, he is trying to use Mail or Outlook 2007 for MAC.  Neither are working properly.
Mail does not play well with Exchange 2003. It needs Exchange 2008. Outlook 2007 won't run on a Mac at all. Outlook 2011 requires Exchange 2008.

Your only real choices, until you upgrade your server are either Entourage 2004 (which comes as part of MS Office for Mac 2004) or Entourage 2008 (which comes with MS Office for Mac 2008). However, you have to get the pro version of Office 2008 as the student/teacher edition of Office 2008 does not include Exchange Support.

You are supposed to get licences for Entourage 2004 with your SBS server and MS used to send you the media. Not sure if they still do.
