"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will only get upgrade discounts if you are purchasing volume licensing or can find a reseller that is giving a discount.  How many copies are you needing to purchase?

See if you qualify for a charitable license - I don't know for certain, and health care may not qualify. Check, as that would be the most economical way for you to upgrade.

The next most economical way is to approach Microsoft or your local vendor (local vendor is probably best) and get the price for a volume license.

You can also check if the upgrade price for 2010 at retail (2003 is ok to qualify) is less expensive than the volume license.

Check all three approaches.  ... Thinkpads_User
