can not run adobe flash player

I have install abobe flash player on a xp machine but when i try and enable it it does not appear on the add-ons list. I have re-installed it several times and been through all the stuff on the web forums but they all assume the flash player appears on the add-ons list which is does not.

can you try to use mozilla to see if adobe is correctly installed and that IE8 is the culprit not adobe?

If both dont work then we'll work on adobe.
I have discovered that the reg key for the adobe flash player is not deletable. The os says its being used by another process soi think that is where the problem is. I will try and uninstall flash player and see if the reg setting is removed.

Also try an advanced uninstaller like REVO,

Hopefully this will help?
i have installed chrome and it worked ok. Un-installed ie and re-installed it but still the same issue.
Ok so the problem is IE related let me look more into your issue and get back to you.
