DST issues with Exchange and VM Ware

Is anyone aware of issues between Exchange and VMWare VSphere 4.1?

MS has indicated there is an issue and won't support my environment, and now I'm basically stuck with calendar appointments being a hour off.

Even though I have run TZ Edit, Time Zone Move tool for Outlook and the Exchange Calendar Update Tool.

Thank you

I'm not aware of any issues with Exchange 2010 and vSphere 4.1.

But I am aware of the "Microsoft Support situations" where they like you to prove that the same issues occurs on a physical platform before they will assist you with VMware Virtual Infrastructure. (they treat you differently in using Hyper-V).

Are the times correct on the ESX host, how is the ESX host Time Synced?

How is the Exchange Server time synced?

Are all times correct?

Where is the option in VMWare Tools to see if it's syncing with the ESX Host.

The ESX Host time is off by a couple minutes and no ntp client is configured.  I'm wondering if I should configure that with the MS's time server?

Times are correct on local workstations.  And if I adjust the time on the local workstation by unchecking the Adjust for Daylight Savings Option, all the time on the workstation is off an hour and then calendar appointments are correct.  It is so frustrating!!!
if you highlight and right click VMware Tools in the System Tray, there is an Option to Sync Time with Host Server.

you should also configure NTP on the ESX server to SYNC time with your Network Time Source. (or external time source - if you use one)
Ok, the option for the time synchronization is checked, I should turn that off?

All of our server point to the small business server for synchronizing time, should I point the ESX hosts to point there as well?

Thank you!
Sync the Exchange server with the Host ESX server, so leave it checked.

Sync the ESX Host Server with the small business server.
Ok, I'm going to wait until tonight to make the chagnes, just in case anything happens.

I'm doing this time config on the ESX Host through VCenter, is that ok?
yes, that's how NTP is configured through vCenter.
just make sure Small Business Server is running NTP server.
You mean make sure the NTP service is started on the SBS?

Ok, I'll follow up tomorrow.

Thank you all!
I have set the NTP client on the ESX Hosts to the exchange server, however, the time is still off by 4 minutes on host and 3 minutes on the other host?

What am I doing wrong????

Thank you
Ok I lied, one of my ESX Hosts has the correct time matching the exchange server, and of course it's the one that doesn't have the exchange server on it.

The other ESX Host is 5 minutes off?  But I have it configured the same exact way?
Looks like it was just taking a bit for the other ESX host to catch up, it just caught up. I'm having some folks do test with appointments, fingers crossed this did that trick!!

Follow up shortly.  Thank you!

Setting the NTP client on the ESX Hosts did not make a difference, calendar appointments are still an hour off.
So are the times on Exchange Server and ESX Server, and SBS server the same?
Yes, all the times are in sync with each other.
I've asked another EE Exchange Expert to have a look at this issue.
Thank you!  It really sucks that between VM WAre and MS, neither can help me.
