Create Rope for Photoshop (use on a path)

I am wondering what is the best way that I can create a reusable brush stroke on a path in Photoshop. I want to be able to draw a path then apply this texture rope.

Any ideas on the best way to accomplish this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

most of the time you can right click and convert to path with multiple selection tools.

Photoshop does not support path/vector brushes like Illustrator has but you can use PS and Ai together like this:

Draw a path in Photoshop. Copy it and paste into Illustrator. Apply the brush and then: Option > Expand. Copy and paste back to PS.
