Excel File Conversion

Is there a easy way to turn a Excel Workbook (XLSM) into a .EXE file?  I'd like to try to protect and encrypt a Workbook for distribution and an Executable would be far better than a workbook/spreadsheet with security.  If the answer is yes, can you direct me to a good solution?  It doesn't have to be freeware.

Thank you in advance,

B.

Here's a complete article that explains how to do it:

I've used Orlando's converter in the past and it works well.  However Norton 360 didn't like the .exe file that was created and some temp files and placed them in quarantine so be aware that this might occur.

I'll give it a try.  Is it compatable with 2010 Excel XLSM extensions?

I've never used in Excel 2010, but I think it works:

"Tested in the Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 97 (See Note), 2000, 2002(XP), 2003, 2007 and 2010."
I have Excel 2010.  It works fine.
jpaulino,

I can't get the site to load; have tried several times over a 12 hr. period.  Does it work for you?

Yes, no problem
Thanks!
I just finished my workbook and compiled it.  This works fantastic!  I see that there are other very expensive programs out there for compiling and controling your IP.  This one however, seems to be an excellent and quick way of protecting your work and making sure it doesn't get changed.  Much thanks for introducing me to this app.

Best regards,

B.
