copy the contect of .sql file and Paste it in that blank page and run it

Dont cleck on New Query
Open existing Query in that open the sql file that you have given

Connect to server using ssms, then click file -> open -> file:
file open fileNext choose apropriate database:
choose dbAt last click on Execute button

Depending on what is in the script you may need additional permissions. Please also keep in mind that code in script may change your data in database(s).
