Firefox - keeps losing my custom settings

I have a big issue since upgrading to Firefox 4.

It keeps losing my icons and custom toolbars!

It happens completely at random.

To get them back I have to restart in safe mode, tick the box "Reset
toolbars and controls" and reopen.

Sometimes when I right click "Customise" is greyed out.

Any ideas - it is getting to the point where I will dump firefox!

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

unistall - restart - make sure all firefox folders and registry entries are gone and re-install

obviously save registry before tweaking and save all settings/favorites you need
