Blackberry Enterprise Server vs Blackberry Enterprise server Express.
Hi Experts,
we are a small company having blackberry enterprise server 5.0.1 with MS Exchange 2003. Now due to the cost of blackberry server and CAL licensing our management wants to user blackberry enterprise server Express which is free. so here i want to know the comparision matrix between these both and what all funtionalities we will lose post moving to express edition from enterprise edition

Actually, the Transporter tool does work with BESx with SP2.... are you doing anything more than adding your users to BES and having their Exchange data sync? Maybe some minor Policy changes? If not, then BESx will work fine... and for HA, since the BESx licenses are free, as long as your db is on a separate SQL box, you could fairly easily have a second BESx server up and running and move the users if the first box failed - a manual process for sure, but not too tedious a job...

Depending on how you are using your current BES server as far as policies go you may not see any difference. We moved from BES to BESx and didn't see any difference. We don't use any of the specialized polices because we are such a small shop.
