I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you tried using Internet Explorer Web Developer tools to inspect that white space?

This should give you a better idea on what is causing that white space and if needed, apply any necessary styling to remove it.

It looks like it might be an empty cell or an extra td/th tag that wasn't taken out properly.  It could also be some content that wasn't removed 100% so it is still being rendered to the right and overlapping your webpart.  I'm leaning towards the second since it looks like the white part extends past the webpart.

See if you can use Firefox with Firebug installed.  It is really handy for finding and highlighting rogue tags/HTML sections that have been overlooked or don't really stand out in code.

If it doesn't show up in Firefox, then you'll have to go through each line and making sure everything is matched correctly and any extra code is taken out.
